Jennifer Anderson founded Lone Star birth in 2023 to help bring together like-minded birth professionals for the betterment of the community. It is her belief that by providing more comprehensive care, women and their families can have a more positive experience through pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. Jennifer is a certified Birth & Postpartum Doula as well as a childbirth and breastfeeding educator. She began supporting postpartum families long before having her own family but became certified after the birth of her first daughter, almost 15 years ago. Though she battled infertility, she was blessed to expand not only her family, but also her knowledge and experience through assisting hundreds of families through the process of becoming a parent. She now provides birth & postpartum doula service to families all over Houston, including those with multiples, high risk pregnancies and special situations such as surrogacy and adoption.

Jennifer is completing her final steps to become a Certified Professional Midwife and offering full Midwifery care through our partnership with Katy Birth Center. KBC provides a warm, welcoming environment where families can experience birth with dignity, support, and professional medical care. Birth centers offer a comfortable, home-like setting while maintaining high standards of safety for healthy, low-risk pregnancies.

I believe that pregnancy and birth are normal, healthy life events—and sacred gifts
from God. I trust in His perfect design for the human body and support the natural
processes of pregnancy and birth by offering informed, evidence-based options to
families. Every family deserves to be treated with respect, dignity, and compassion
throughout their entire childbearing journey.

The care I provide is rooted in the following principles:

Faith in God’s Design: I believe that God created our bodies with wisdom and
purpose, and that birth is most often safe and effective when we honor that design.

Christlike Compassion: Care should be offered with humility, love, and grace,
following the example of Jesus in how we serve others.

Respect for Life: I recognize and honor the sanctity of life from the moment of
conception.

Informed Choice: Making informed decisions is part of our God-given free will. I
support families in understanding their options so they can make choices with
confidence and peace.

Support over Intervention: In line with evidence-based practices, I believe that
birth works best when it’s supported, not rushed or unnecessarily interfered with.

Whole-Person Care: True care addresses not only physical health, but also
emotional and spiritual well-being.

Creating a Peaceful Environment: I strive to provide a calm, supportive space
where families feel safe, seen, and deeply cared for.
