Jennifer Anderson founded Lone Star birth in 2023 to help bring together like-minded birth professionals for the betterment of the community. It is her belief that by providing more comprehensive care, women and their families can have a more positive experience through pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. Jennifer is a certified Birth & Postpartum Doula as well as a childbirth and breastfeeding educator.

She began supporting postpartum families long before having her own family but became certified after the birth of her first daughter, almost 15 years ago. Though she battled infertility, she was blessed to expand not only her family, but also her knowledge and experience through assisting hundreds of families through the process of becoming a parent. She now provides birth & postpartum doula service to families all over Houston, including those with multiples, high risk pregnancies and special situations such as surrogacy and adoption.

Jennifer is completing her final steps to become a Certified Professional Midwife and offering full Midwifery care through our partnership with Katy Birth Center. KBC provides a warm, welcoming environment where families can experience birth with dignity, support, and professional medical care. Birth centers offer a comfortable, home-like setting while maintaining high standards of safety for healthy, low-risk pregnancies.

Dia is a Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula and a devoted Christian who is passionate about serving and supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Through her own experiences walking through both beautiful and difficult birth journeys, Dia brings deep compassion, understanding, and encouragement to the mothers she serves. She is committed to helping women feel informed, supported, and cared for emotionally, physically, and spiritually throughout their journey into motherhood. As an integral part of the Lone Star Birth network, Dia is honored to walk alongside families during one of life’s most meaningful seasons.

Natalia is a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula serving families throughout the Houston area. With a professional background as a trained CNA, she brings both compassionate support and clinical awareness into the birth space, helping families feel confident whether they are planning a natural birth or navigating medical interventions.

Her journey into birth work was rooted in a deep calling to support women during one of the most transformative seasons of their lives. Over the years, she has supported hospital and home births, as well as postpartum families adjusting to the physical and emotional realities of early motherhood. Her experience in care settings has strengthened her ability to remain calm, attentive, and grounded  especially in high intensity or unexpected situations.

Natalia believes that when women feel informed, respected, and emotionally supported, birth becomes an empowering experience rather than something to fear. She is especially passionate about supporting first-time mothers and families walking through major transitions, offering steady guidance, reassurance, and advocacy every step of the way.

Families often describe her as nurturing, intuitive, and deeply present. For Natalia, birth work is more than a profession ,  it is a commitment to holding space for strength, dignity, and new beginnings.

Hunter Clayburn is a follower of Jesus, a wife, a mom to three amazing children, a homeschool teacher, and a supporter of women in birth. She became a doula in Denver, CO in 2013 following the birth of her second child. Later, her family moved to Houston where she continued her birth worker journey. In 2015, she became a trained midwives’ assistant. Currently she focuses on teaching Birth Boot Camp courses for out-of-hospital and in-hospital clients around the greater Houston area. She has been teaching since 2022 and loves helping families get started with all the tools available to them. Her personal births and her doula clients are spread across hospital, birth center and home deliveries therefore providing an abundance of knowledge on many different labor/birth/postpartum experiences. Hunter loves supporting women as they begin and grow their families. She loves encouraging women that “this is hard but you can do this” versus the often repeated “you can’t do birth, it’s too hard”. Knowing that when families begin this new stage with encouragement and support, they bond easier and feel more capable when there are hard moments in their parenting journeys.
