Postpartum Doula Support

Every new parent should consider hiring a postpartum doula to help them as they go through one of the biggest transitions of their lives. Postpartum doulas offer physical and emotional support, as well as education. Mothers can focus on healing, learning to breastfeed and take care of their baby, and resting, while knowing that someone experienced is there to support and guide them through every step.

Postpartum Doulas:

  • Assist with physical healing from vaginal births and c-sections
  • Help with learning how to breastfeed, pump, and address latch difficulties
  • Gently teach and demonstrate how to care for a newborn
  • Assist with night feedings and newborn care
  • Help you and your baby get into a good, sustainable routine
  • Offer a listening ear and gentle guidance processing the birth
  • Recognize the signs of postpartum mood disorders and connect with resources if needed
  • Take care of the house and baby so that you can rest
  • Prepare nutritious snacks and meals to replenish the body after birth
  • Lighten the load for other family members by supporting the family as a whole
